Learn how to find fonts (step by step)

Pick a topic from the left menu. Each guide is designed to help you get better results faster.

Find a font when background is close to font color in 3 steps

Follow the steps below, then use the tool to check matches and alternatives.

Step 1 Upload a screenshot

Go to upload

Upload a clear screenshot of the text. If possible, crop tightly around the word.

Step 2a Choose the clearest preview

Select the preview where the text is most visible (letters look darker and more separated from the background).

Tip: if letters look “washed out”, results usually degrade.

Step 2b Use “Edit image” (brightness + contrast)

Click Edit image for better results. Adjust IMAGE BRIGHTNESS and IMAGE CONTRAST to reduce the background and make the text more visible. Then click Use Image and enter the character corresponding to each cropped image.

Best practice: aim for high contrast (dark letters on light background), avoid halos and blur.

Step 3 View font results

Review the best matches and similar fonts. If the exact font isn’t found, browse alternatives and pick the closest.
